From the Rehearsal Studio – Week 5
Today’s session is the fifth one! Oh. My. Gosh. Three more sessions for rehearsal and then the final performance! AHHH!! Time seems to fly so so fast! We got our scripts and did blocking for the whole play, including poem and song. All we need to do is memorize our lines and know when to say them. And we have to remember to face the audience too!
For our final performance, we decided to liven things up with plenty of features! One of them is ticketing. Members of the audience are required to have tickets and must present their tickets at the door. If you want to come to our show, please ask any of our participating members of this season or email firstname.lastname@example.org for tickets.
As usual, we also played games to strengthen our teamwork and test our focus. The ‘Shark Attack’ game was fun but tough! There were a number of “casualties” because few of us couldn’t make it to the “island”. Maybe we should play this game with our family next time? I’m sure we’ll have an amazing time laughing and figuring out how to “survive” on a small island. Should be fun!
It won’t be long before we have our full dress rehearsal. Everyone is getting bits and pieces of their costumes ready. We’re also getting the props and backdrop ready too! The excitement is building up among the participants, and we hope that many people can come and watch our show!
Now, let’s remember our lines and continue rehearsing in the upcoming weeks. Go go!
