The Little Farm – The Thank You Page

“So what’s the moral of the story?”
“Don’t judge others by appearance!”

March 6, 2016 was a day to remember at the Futakotamagawa Chiku Center. Four girls of various ages and backgrounds came together to put up a play that had brought the biggest audience turnout in TJP’s history. Coupled with the play was our fashion show (the 2016 Winter Farm Collection hehehe), the amazing guest performance, popcorns, cupcakes, and party!

I hope that each child had had fun and each parent had maximized their phone/camera storage with lots of pictures! The Little Farm was an ambitious project that could not have been realized without the great help that we’d had.

Below are thank-you messages from the people who introduced The Little Farm to the four girls, and who brought The Little Farm to stage.

From the producer and director, Jas (a.k.a. Cow)

THANK YOU for your amazing participation, girls! And THANK YOU for your continuous support, parents of girls! I hope the girls have learned more than just memorizing lines and positions on stage. It was definitely great to see the girls’ transformation throughout the nine weeks that we had spent together. I hope that I can work with the girls again in the future! Cheers! Moooooooo~

From the assistant producer and director, Liuwina (a.k.a. Dog)

I was delighted to get this opportunity to work for TJP this season.
It was truly an interesting and fun experience, also to me it was very heartwarming to see the kids having fun and truly unfold.
I just want to say thanks for having me and I hope to be a part of this in future seasons!

From the set and costumer designer, Yuko (a.k.a. Farmer)

<English>
This season was my first time with TJP.
I was very happy to be a member of TJP in this season.
When the kids saw the props and costumes I made, they liked them and their expressions were bright.
I was very surprised and felt very very happy every session!

Once upon a time… we’re making fairy tale characters come to life! Don’t miss out on this magic carpet ride~ a whole new wooorld… Oops. Sorry for the distraction.

Right, yes! Fairy tales! We’re doing something new! Something exciting! We’re mashing up a couple of fairy tales (call it a crossover of sorts, if you may) and turning them into one huge story that you’ll want to hear at bedtime again! Picture Little Red Riding Hood meeting Snow White meeting Rapunzel in a forest while an evil presence lurks nearby.

So come join us in this whole new world~ a new fantastic point of view~~~~ *ahem* I mean, come join us in this new fairy tale world!

——————-

For the older participants, we will be putting up a play written by Eitan Loewenstein, titled ‘Stories from the Pound’. If you’ve ever wondered what the animals in the pound are thinking about, then you’ll find out in this play! Don’t miss out the stories that these animals are going to tell!

So next time you see an animal, listen… listen carefully. They just might talk to you.

Welcome to The Little Farm!

Welcome to The Little Farm!

It. Is. The. Final. Session!! Oh. My. Gosh!!

We started the session with physical and vocal warm-ups- essential for every actor! The full cast came ready with costumes, props, their lines and enthusiasm! It was great to see the actors looking out for one another on stage and helping out when someone forgets her line. Nice work, team!

When it came to dressing up, everyone knew what they had to do and had no problems putting on their costumes and make-up. This time, our cheerful Bunny was all ready to dab some make-up on every actor. She’s definitely the Make-Up Artist in this production. Also, a big THANK YOU to our wonderful Set and Costume Designer who got everything ready for us!

It has been a fun journey!

Come Sunday, The Little Farm will premiere at Futakotamagawa! It has been a really fun and exciting journey full of discovery, improvements, and laughter. Everyone went through the process of staging and not merely following the orders of the director. I hope the audience can appreciate our colorful albeit short performance! Now, let’s close our eyes and pretend that we will put on another 20 sold-out shows! Hehehe.

And the moral of the story is...?
